entered into agreement with Bharti Infratel. Financial details are not

Two Long Power Purchase Agreements Signed by Karnataka
Government. These agreements are for 992 MW. One agreement was signed with
Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) for 442 MW and other
agreement is with Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) for 450 MW. These agreements
were signed by DK Sivakumar, Karnataka energy Minister.
USAID grant $ 2, 00,000 to SELCO Foundation:
With the intension to help the six innovative labs, USAID
(United States Agency for International Aid) had granted $ 2, 00,000 to SELCO
Foundation. This amount will be helpful for the development and test
sustainable energy solutions. Along with SELCO foundation USAID is also
providing support to Orb Energy and granted a loan of $ 2.5 million.
New Guidelines for treating Rape victims:
New Guidelines for treating Rape victims announced by Union
Health Ministry. As per these guidelines hospitals need to set up designed room
for forensic and medical examination of the victims. Two finger test to be
performed. These guidelines were set by ICMR (Indian Council of Medical
Research) and DHR (Department of Health Research). It is expecting that this
new guidelines will help to the stop the horrendous medical process.
