Qualification : Candidates must possess Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. For Station Officer, Fire Service candidates must be a Science or Engineering Graduation from a recognized university or institution.
Age Limit : Candidates age limit is 21 to 25 years as on 01-01-2013. Relaxation is applicable as per the rules.
Selection Process : Candidates will be selected based on performance in Preliminary examination, Physical test & viva-voce test.Candidates must pay the fee of Rs.100/- for all candidates other than SC & ST category candidates either through online or offline mode using the Treasury Portal or by the conventional mode of deposit in the Treasury.
Online Mode: Candidates can pay the fee by logon to the web site www.odishatresury.gov.in through Net Banking of the designated banks or through Debit Card. On successful payment, an e-Challan will be generated from the Treasury portal which has to retain by the candidate for future reference.
Offline Mode: Candidates can deposit the fee using Challan through any designated Bank provided in the Treasury Portal under the “Head of Account-0051-PSC-104-UPSC/ SSC-Examination Fees-0047-Fees collected for conducting examinations-02041-Examination Fees”.
Conventional Mode: Candidates can deposit the fee through the conventional mode into the Treasury under the “Head of Account-0051-PSC-104-UPSC/ SSC-Examination Fees-0047-Fees collected for conducting examinations-02041-Examination Fees”. (No Fee for Sc/ ST/ PWD Candidates).
How To Apply : Interested candidates can apply online through the website of the commission “www.odishassc.in” by filling all the mandatory details from 09-12-2013 (13-12-2013) to 08-01-2014 (13-01-2014) and send application form along with relevant certificates mentioned in the notification in an envelope super scribing with the name of the post applied for to the Secretory, Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC), Barrack No.1, Unit-V, Bhubaneswar-751054.
